what's sweeter than a smiling baby?



There isn't much we can do to make a baby smile but sometimes they will after we rub their cheek, after they pass gas, or something like that. But when we are able to catch the smiles, it really is random and I just have to be ready! When I made this list, I noticed a trend though: the babies are either swaddled or on their tummy. It makes sense because sometimes these positions are helpful to pass gas. Or at least babies pass the most gas for us in these positions.


This list is in no particular order and is just a list of babies that have smiled for me in the past that come to mind for this. Enjoy this short read that is sure enough to release a little bit of serotonin!

Raelynn


This was actually the first pose we did for her session and started off strong with her beautiful smile!

Adley


Sweet Adley! This sweet girl gave showed us her beautiful smile towards the end of her session! Hers LOVED to be swaddled! Loved that I could catch her smile for her mama!

Rylee


Rylee is tiny but mighty! I remember her being so small but started her session off with two different smiles she let us get!

Benton


Also a tiny guy that LOVED to be snuggled gave us this sweet little smirk towards the beginning of his session! So happy to have been able to capture these for a close friend of mine!

I absolutely LOVE this little smirk he decided to give us! He stayed like this for a second so I know he had some sweet dreams!

Avery


This one is just too sweet! Miss Avery waiting until the most perfect moment to give us this big beautiful smile! One of my favorite newborn images because of her smile!

This is a sweet one! Mabry's mama was actually my L+D nurse so I was so happy I was able to return the favor and help HER during this time PLUS being able to catch a sweet smile on Mabry.

UGH! I love Ryatt's beautiful smile in this whole setup! This was towards the end of his session and I'm so happy we were able to catch his smile for mama!

First of all I was excited for this setup in general but then her CUTE CUTE face plus flashing me a smile just made it that much better! She really showed out for her whole session!

Sweet Marlo!! UGH! This was another setup I was super excited for and then her just giving us her beautiful smile was the cherry on top of her session! This is also one of my favorite newborn images of all time!
